About the Speaker: Tom Legg, retired faculty member of the University of Minnesota’s Carlson School of Management.
Tom Legg, a retired faculty member from the University of Minnesota’s Carlson School of Management, has returned to his northern Minnesota roots. He has a B.S. from UMD and a Ph.D. in Applied Economics from the U of MN in St. Paul. His presentation draws on work done as a Policy Fellow at Growth and Justice, a non-profit policy analysis group in Saint Paul. A 2013 report ( click HERE to read), Widening Economic Inequality in Minnesota, written with Jay Coggins and Dane Smith received attention from the legislature, the Star Tribune and others. A new report, Widening inequality in Minnesota: A County-by-County Analysis, was issued in May, 2015 (click HERE to read).
