About the Speaker:

Shane Courtland is a current Assistant Professor of Philosophy at the University of Minnesota, Duluth.  Shane has a Ph.D. in Philosophy from Tulane University and B.A. in Philosophy and Political Science from U.M.D.  His areas of specialization include Political Philosophy, Ethics, Applied Ethics, and Metaethics, and he is the Director of the Center for Ethics and Public Policy.
